How Coocaa became #1 TV seller on Lazada PH and expanded to several SEA countries

Quanta managed to successfully launch the brand in the Philippines and at the same time to be the top performing Electronics brand in Lazada during its birthday sale. Outranking multinational brands like Samsung. Due to its success, quanta was tasked to help COOCAA on its APAC expansion beginning with Indonesia and Thailand.

Overview

Founded in 2006, Coocaa develops both smart TVs and smart consumer electronics hardware. Its products include games TVs, high-end smart TVs, a remote control device for Apple’s smart phone which allows users to control home appliances remotely, a Bluetooth.

Last March 2019, Coocaa, enters the Philippines market with their affordable Smart TVs and wanted to reach new buyers in the country. Their objectives were two-fold: to increase the number of sales of their product using Quanta expertise. And on the other side, gain quickly more traction in APAC using our knowledge to scale and duplicate performance in other countries.

THE SOLUTION

By using Facebook Collaborative Ads (also known as CPAS) with Lazada, we were able to drive sales and customer acquisition and achieve a perfect ROAS for COOCAA. We used also the Reach and Frequency campaign of Facebook, directly followed by a retargeting campaign with a conversion objective.

Audience and Targeting

The big advantage that we had was to be able to take advantage of the new interface that Facebook offers to optimize e-commerce, collaborative ads or CPAS. the CPAS simply allows COOCAA to launch performance marketing campaigns for their products, by stimulating their sales on their Lazada store.

So by configuring dynamic ads for Coocaa we were able to create a segment of their catalog made up of all of their products. The brand was therefore able to use this catalog segment to broadcast dynamic ads that show the right products to people who have expressed their interest beforehand on Lazada Mall.

Creatives

The creative part of our campaign optimization process was a major moment. The goal was to be able to design quality banners that perfectly reflect the nature of COOCAA’s offer and all this in a very short time, most of the time so as not to miss important events.

Quanta has therefore worked with different banners and different formats to reach a maximum of people on the different platforms of Facebook. Also by using A / B testing methods on our different formats, we were able to optimize the entire funnel for better conversions.
